Playful technologies to promote the active use of public open urban spaces in The Netherlands, Germany, Greece and Hungary.
Playful technologies such as location-based games (e.g. Pokémon Go!) provide promising new opportunities to promote physical activity and social interactions in public open urban spaces. In this project we will develop playful tools in co-creation with the cities and its users to encourage the usage of urban public space and to allow city dwellers to take a more active role in creating environments that support healthy lifestyles.
